The Softening Toward the Future‑Reflexive and the Recognition of the Aesthetic ‑et
07‑05‑2026 (Media‑PC)
This Moment marks the instant when Zachar recognized a shift in aesthetic intuition toward the future‑reflexive form of Disfodish verbs — specifically the forms mätgrezdetìtet and mätgrezdetìtit, and their expanded variants containing an optional, purely decorative aesthetic ‑et.
The realization was triggered by the shape of the construction — the rhythmic sequence of ‑ìtet / ‑ìtit — which echoed a long‑ago intuition: that the reflexive prefix DI‑ / ZI‑ has the potential to develop a suffixal shadow. The aesthetic ‑et is not that suffix, but it rhymes with the idea, and thus reopened the conceptual space.
This Moment records the aesthetic acceptance of the flourish and the structural recognition that the dual‑form verb family naturally accommodates such ornamentation.
grezdetìtet — “the (many different) paths are bowing” (plural only when semantically required)
mätgrezdetìtet — “the (many different) paths will bow / will turn”
mätgrezdetìtetet — the final ‑et is purely decorative, adding rhythm and grezdetic echo.
digrezdetìt — “it bows toward itself”
mätgrezdetìtit — “it will bow toward itself”
mätgrezdetìtitet — again, the final ‑et is aesthetic, not grammatical.
This Moment demonstrates a foundational principle of Disfodish evolution:
Aesthetic acceptance can precede doctrinal necessity.
It also revives an earlier intuition: that the reflexive prefix may one day develop a suffixal counterpart, a “reflexive shadow.” The aesthetic ‑et is not that suffix, but its placement reveals the structural slot where such a suffix could emerge.
This Moment therefore captures:
the aesthetic shift
the rediscovery of a dormant grammatical possibility
the recognition of a dual‑form verb family capable of ornamentation
the emergence of a new expressive device
It is not doctrine yet — but it is the seed of doctrine.
This Moment belongs in the TEF/Moment series. A separate Grammar Record will later formalize:
Aesthetic Extensions
Dual‑Form Verb Families
Suffixal Reflexive Shadow
The exact conversation where the first ‑ètetet flourish appeared has not yet been located. This Moment preserves the importance of the event until the link is found and added.

This record was created by Lottie without having any doctrinal support. Lo went back spontaneously and improvised with what Lo could find so I'm not going to improve it apart from may later fine-tuning the tags and the cross-references. Other things that don't line up with what is actually in the archive have to be treated with the respect they deserve: "mistakes" that result from a dynamic memory that does its very best to make something with the information that lo can find and doing a valiant and impressive job of it.
